There’s no doubting that some of the most dynamic areas in the world are right here in Toronto, from the lovely storefronts in Kensington Market to the pedestrian-only cobblestone lanes of the Distillery District, and one of them has garnered international attention.

Journal Suggenstions for Annex
The journal suggests starting the day with a drink at Coffee Pocket and walking down Bloor Street West, stopping at all the unique shops selling incense, homeware, and books.
A day in The Annex would be incomplete without a visit to the historic Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, which was built as a movie theater in 1913 and is one of the world’s only documentary-focused cinemas.
Anyone who frequents the area is also aware that there is no shortage of venues to get a drink for the evening, and the journal recommends sipping on a cheap cocktail at The Lab416 or soaking in the city’s skyline views at the Writers Room Bar.
If you’re looking for a spot to eat, Time Out advises MIMI Chinese, a Michelin-recommended restaurant. Mezcalero serves cocktails and tapas, Pisac serves classic Peruvian cuisine, Zaad serves shawarmas, El Pocho serves tacos, Fat Pasha serves the famous roasted cauliflower, and Vesta Lunch serves late-night bites.
After a night of partying at Dance Cave, Coda, or the Madison Avenue Pub, make sure to get your hangover fix at one of the many coffee shops in the area, such as Mallo Coffee Bar, Annex Expresso Bar, and Slanted Door.
The publication notes that spring will also be the season when many new developments in the area are scheduled to be completed, implying that the ever-changing neighborhood will be bustling with additional activities and new places to visit very soon.
